Shipping Policy

Last updated: 12/06/2026

This policy explains how long delivery takes, what it costs, and how UK VAT and customs are handled. All compulsory fees are shown before you reach the final checkout step, in line with the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024 (DMCC).

We ship to the United Kingdom using international tracked carriers. As an overseas seller registered with HM Revenue & Customs as a Non-Established Taxable Person (NETP), UK VAT is charged and accounted for as set out below.

Free shipping threshold

UK delivery is free on all orders of £45 and over, sent with full tracking. Below this threshold, a flat standard delivery charge applies, shown in full before you reach the final checkout step.

Shipping options and costs

Standard UK delivery is £3.95, and free on all orders of £45 and over. The full delivery cost is displayed before you reach the final checkout step, in line with the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024.

All prices are in pounds sterling (GBP, £) and include UK VAT at 20% on consignments of £135 or less.

Standard delivery

UK orders are sent using international tracked carriers, with full tracking from despatch to delivery. Your order will be delivered within 15 working days, Monday to Friday. We do not offer an express service.

Order processing

Once your order is placed, delivery takes place within 15 working days, Monday to Friday. You will receive a despatch confirmation by email with a tracking number and a link to follow your parcel once it leaves the carrier's first scan point.

If a delay arises before despatch, for example a stock check or address verification, we will email you to let you know.

International delivery (outside the United Kingdom)

We ship to selected destinations outside the United Kingdom using international tracked carriers. For these orders, the buyer is the importer of record. Any import VAT, customs duties, or carrier handling fees levied at the border are the responsibility of the recipient and are payable in addition to the price shown at checkout.

If you would like an estimate of likely import costs to your country before you buy, please email care@atelierbrim.co.uk and we will reply as soon as we can.

VAT and customs (United Kingdom)

We are committed to transparent, all-inclusive pricing under the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024.

For UK orders with a consignment value of £135 or less: UK VAT at 20% is included in the price you see at checkout. There is nothing further to pay on delivery.

For UK orders with a consignment value above £135: UK import VAT and any applicable customs duties may be charged at the border by the carrier or by HMRC before delivery. We will provide the commercial invoice required for the parcel to clear customs. If you would like clarification before you buy, please contact us.

Note: our UK VAT registration is currently being processed by HMRC (application submitted 27/05/2026; typical issuance approximately 40 business days). UK VAT is charged and accounted for at the point of sale from the effective date of registration in accordance with HMRC NETP rules.

Order tracking

Once your order has been despatched, you will receive an email confirmation with a tracking number and a link to track your parcel. You can follow your order from despatch to delivery using that link.

Lost or delayed parcels

If your order has not arrived within 15 working days plus 5 working days, please email our care team with your order number. We will open an investigation with the carrier within 7 days of being notified and will keep you updated until the parcel is located or the loss is confirmed.

Where a parcel is confirmed lost in transit, we will send a replacement at no cost or issue a full refund, at your choice, in line with your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Damaged on arrival

If your parcel is visibly damaged when it reaches your door, please refuse delivery and contact us immediately. If you only notice damage after opening, please get in touch within 48 hours with photographs of the item, the outer packaging, and the despatch label. We will arrange a return at our cost and either replace the item or refund you in full.

Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 to reject faulty goods within 30 days are unaffected by this 48-hour notification window.

Address errors and change of address before despatch

Once a parcel is in the carrier's network, we cannot redirect it. If your delivery address is wrong, please email care@atelierbrim.co.uk with your order number within 24 hours of placing your order so we can amend the label before despatch.

If your order has not yet been despatched, we can update the address on request. Write to us with your order number and the corrected address.

Cancellation before despatch

You can cancel your order at no cost as long as it has not yet been despatched. Write to us with your order number and we will confirm cancellation and refund within 14 days using the same method of payment.

After despatch, your statutory rights under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 apply. See our Refund and Returns Policy for the 14-day statutory cooling-off process and the 30-day goodwill window.

Returns shipping

For full return conditions, addresses, and the model cancellation form, see our Refund and Returns Policy. In short:

  • Change of mind (statutory cancellation or goodwill window): you pay the return postage. This is declared up front here and in the Refund and Returns Policy as required by the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
  • Faulty, damaged, or not as described: we cover the return postage and refund you in full under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Your statutory rights

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must be delivered within a reasonable time unless we have agreed otherwise with you in writing. Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, the default delivery deadline is 30 days from the day after you place your order, unless we have agreed a longer or shorter delivery window with you. Our agreed delivery window is within 15 working days, Monday to Friday, which is shorter than the statutory default.

Nothing in this policy reduces your statutory rights under UK consumer law. If anything in this policy appears to limit those rights, your statutory rights take precedence.

Complaints

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled a shipping issue, please write to us so we can resolve the matter directly. You can also seek free advice from Citizens Advice (citizensadvice.org.uk, helpline 0808 223 1133) or contact your local Trading Standards office.
